“You're always taking a risk when you buy a car long distance. I live in Minnesota but found what looked like a good price on the model of car I wanted at 4 Wheels Fox Lake during an internet search. I contacted Nick via their website, and we got to texting, then talking on the phone. I asked him to send me the Carfax on the car, and he sent it right away, no charge, no hassle. Then I asked him if we could do a video call so I could take the car for a "virtual test drive". Nick isn't the most computer tech-savvy guy I know, but he did great! He used his cell phone to show me everything on the car that I asked about, which really put me at ease. He showed me the cracked windshield, but said he would have it replaced if we could make a deal. He was quite honest and forthcoming about the car's condition. It had over 150k miles after all. We worked out a deal that I thought was fair, so I booked a train ride from Saint Paul to Fox Lake. Arriving at their lot on a Saturday morning, Nick greeted me warmly, and handed me the key fob so I could take an actual test drive before we did the transaction. The car was beautiful and just as he described it. He introduced me to his father, Gino. Truly a family operation, with lots of history, including framed newspaper ads from the 1960s on the walls. The transaction was seamless and smooth. Now our gorgeous blue Volt is safely back in Minnesota and we are very happy with it. Thanks Nick!”
