Communication was well via email conversation. But if here's that this car dealership allows people to visit by appointment. I don't think I like that type of structure when it comes to car purchasing. So the reason why I give a 4 star is because the communication was there and they do have a lot of good selection of cars and SUVs. The front reception desk was no one there when I first entered and when the lady finally came to her seat they want you to sign in with your name and phone number. I've declined putting my phone number and name where everyone visiting can visibly see that, that's not keeping your personal information private. I think if they want to capture your phone number and name that should be done through your receptionist maybe on a computer versus when a customer after customer comes in and has your information available.

All in all, not bad at all. Although like most dealers, they wanted to photo copy my license (which is against the law - Federal statute). If I bought the vehicle & they were going to DMV, I can understand that but not before the sale.
Their documentation fees are exorbitant but in NJ, dealers can charge any amount they want. They also had 'detailing work' added to their invoice. And the best financing offer they could get was 8.9 so you might as well say 9% and I have an 800+ credit rating. I'll keep shopping.

Nonsense! Only customers who wish to test drive a vehicle are asked for their license which is 100% legal and done to protect the dealership as well as everyone else on the road! We charge only one documentation of $389 and no fee for "detailing work". That is totally untrue and ridiculous! Financing rates are set by banks but but if the reviewer had an 800 credit score, there is no way they were quoted 9%! A review with one falsehood after the other!

I made an appt right before the close of business on day 1. I drove an hr and a half to the dealership for the appt the very next day. I left in the morning. I was told the vehicle sold. It didn't even sell in the 3 hrs the dealership was open, it sold before I even made my appointment. Ironically enough, this was the second time I tried buying from this place.
The first time was several years ago, and I simply didn't remember this time around. That first time I asked for a photo of any nicks dents or scratches. I was told it was flawless. The vehicle was in poor poor shape. The sales guy said, well, I didn't pull it out, it looked good from over here, I assumed it was good. And the inside wreaked of cigarette smoke.
I won't be going for a 3rd time, I'll definitely remember automotive avenues from here on out.

If a vehicle is on our Website it is 100% available at that time. However, we sell more used vehicles in a month than many dealer's sell in a year. That's why we always offer customers the opportunity to leave a refundable deposit to hold the vehicle until they arrive. This reviewer declined that offer. Every vehicle we offer for sell goes through an extensive inspection and reconditioning process. I understand the reviewer is disappointed but the story from 3 years ago seems disingenuous.

The dealership called me and we set an appointment time to see the vehicle. They called to confirm my appointment that morning. I traveled 45 minutes to get there, and they told me it was recently sold. I was told, sorry, we sell a lot of cars. They tried to encourage me to look at something else, which made me feel as if the intention was only to get me into the showroom. Bob you have my sincere apologies, but I assure you the vehicle was available at the time you made your appointment. We encourage every customer leave a refundable deposit just to hold the vehicle until they arrive to avoid situations like this. It does neither the customer nor the dealership any good to have a customer come to see a car that's no longer available. Any offer to show you something else was just an effort to provide you with the best possible customer service.

Automotive Avenues is very busy on a Saturday, but having an appointment allowed for quick and easy help from the salesman. After taking it for a test drive, we began the negotiation process only to find out a personal check would not work. Despite being encouraged to wire money to the dealer, I chose to drive to my local bank and procure a certified check. After returning to the dealer, and waiting for about an hour, we were able to proceed with and complete the paperwork in less than hour. The representatives were helpful and polite and the process of buying the vehicle went fairly smoothly.
