2014 Ford Edge
2014 Ford Edge Review
With its distinctive shape and striking design cues, the 2014 Ford Edge is a two-row crossover with bold sheet metal that commands attention. The Edge also has modern feature content to its credit.
The 2014 Ford Edge is a midsize crossover SUV that seats five passengers, and it’s sold in four trims: SE, SEL, Limited, and Sport. This Ford may be equipped with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The Edge rolls into the 2014 model year with no major changes.
Exterior
Its relatively low, broad-shouldered stance and large chrome grille help the Edge to stand out on the road. Notable design cues include tapered headlights, a raked windshield and a tall beltline.
Base models are equipped with 17-inch wheels, projector-beam halogen headlights, a body-colored rear spoiler, power-adjustable side mirrors and a capless fuel-fill system. The list of available upgrades includes 18-, 20- and 22-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, a power liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a panoramic sunroof, HID headlights and roof-rack side rails.
Interior
A roomy, well-crafted interior is standard for the Edge, and the cabin features a strongly framed center stack with structural accents that flow back toward the center console. There is a generous amount of legroom for both front and rear passengers. With the rear seats in place, the Edge provides 32.2 cubic feet of cargo space, and this expands to 68.9 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded.
Base models come with air conditioning, power door locks and windows, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, cloth upholstery and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column. The list of available upgrades includes dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, heated front seats with 10-way power adjustability, ambient lighting and a flat-folding front passenger seat.
Performance
The Edge provides poised handling and power delivery that’s smooth and quiet. Front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission are standard, and Edge buyers can boost the crossover’s rough-weather traction by upgrading to all-wheel drive.
Base models come with a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 285 horsepower and 253 pound-feet. of torque. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is also offered, and it makes 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. This Ford tows up 3,500 pounds, and it has an EPA rating of up to 21/29 mpg city/highway.

best truck ever for ME! Rides like new
Well, it's a 2014 limited edge and I really haven't had no problems with it. I have low mileage, but I don't drive too far too much.
My car has been running way better lately with no issues. It feels smooth on the road, starts up quick, and I feel way more confident driving it every day. Definitely happy with how everything turned out.
Only ever needed routine maintenance. Kept up on Ford's recommended service schedules for oil changes, air filter changes, coolant flush, spark plugs etc.
Extremely reliable. Never had anything super bad happen since I purchased it 5 years ago except an alternator.
