He had an arrogant, impatient demeanor and avoided answering questions by referring back to the CarFax rather than answering my questions directly. As for the car, it was presented as a pristine one owner. I asked about front end damage noted on the CarFax and was told it's just a blemish on the bumper cover. As a final background check prior to flying down from Detroit I ordered a ClearVin pre-auction report that detailed vehicle history and photos prior to dealer acquisition. The front end damage also included hood damage and spray paint to cover up what appeared to be weathering to the engine compartment from exposure and rodent damage to the hood insulation. Needless to say, I ate the airline ticket, but avoided a disappointment due to non-disclosure.”
