I called the dealership 2 weeks in advance to make sure they had the needed part, but when I took it in for repair, they said the part was sold the previous day. After the part came in, they told me they could have the car done by 12:00 if I brought it in early. I dropped it off at 8:30. I went back at 12:30, but they said they were having trouble with their equipment and couldn't get the system recalibrated. I waited 2 more hours and it still wasn't fixed. I had an appointment, so I had to take the car before the calibration was done. When I took it back the 3rd time, they said it would take 10-15 minutes to complete the process, but it took approximately 45 minutes before it was done. The purge valve should have been covered under the EVAP system warranty, but both the service manager and FoMoCo (corporate) declined responsibility.
