An all-wheel-drive minivan offers flexible seating, a roomy cargo hold, and added grip usually reserved for an SUV. There still aren't many new minivans available with AWD; only two of the five minivans on the market offer it. We'll go over the choices available to you. There are also a few used minivans with AWD, but they are so old they'll be rare on the used market, so the two newer options below are your best bet. These minivans are ranked according to their Carfax Expert Rating, which is based on a combination of comfort, quality, safety, and value.

Other Used AWD Minivans
All-wheel-drive minivans were once much more popular. In the ’90s and ’00s, many automakers offered all-wheel drive as an option on their vans. Choices included:

Buick Terraza (2005-06) | For Sale
Chevrolet Astro (1990-2005) | For Sale
Chevrolet Uplander (2005-06) | For Sale
Chrysler Town & Country (2001-04) | For Sale
Dodge Grand Caravan (2001-04) | For Sale

Pontiac Montana (2005-06) | For Sale
Saturn Relay (2005-06) | For Sale
Toyota Previa (1991-97) | For Sale
However, all those minivans are pretty old, so they’re hard to find. If you’re looking for an all-wheel-drive minivan, your best choice remains the Toyota Sienna or Chrysler Pacifica.
Consider Whether You Need AWD
One major consideration is whether you need AWD in the first place. For many car shoppers living in regions where snow and heavy rain are rare, a FWD minivan could save you money at the dealership and the fuel pump. Those minivans still provide plenty of space, safety, and practicality. If you have a snowy climate, a pair of snow tires does wonders on a front-wheel-drive vehicle.
Besides the Chrysler Pacifica, other direct competitors to the Toyota Sienna include the Honda Odyssey and the Kia Carnival. Neither of those competitors offers AWD options, but they are great minivans.
