My car hadn't been in for a while so Virginia Auto had a thorough checklist to see what needed attention. Then they prioritized the things needed and we decided what to do now and what to save for next time. One problem wouldn't happen for them but it came back for me after a week so they took in the car right away and did some research and found the solution. I appreciate their perseverance.

They do a complete check of all systems and recommend order of repair. I appreciate knowing what needs immediate attention and what can be done later. And then I got a list itemizing what was done and costs. Very thorough.

Took my truck to Virginia Auto as my power mirrors were not working. Before taking it in, I talked to them and told them I did not want a shop that would just replace parts to try and solve the problem. They assured me that was not the case, they diagnose to determine the actual problem and then fix it. The diagnostic fee was a bit higher than other shops, but they did several tests and found the problem. Sent me pictures and offered two solutions. As part of the vehicle inspection they noted that the coolant and brake fluids needed to be flushed so I have them do that as well. I was very happy with the service, communication and information provided. I would recommend Virginia Auto Services.

BUYER BEWARE: we had my son's car towed to the shop because it was the closest one to us. They never disclosed a fee for diagnostics. And only quoted us an estimated range of the cost of the repairs. We only ended up needing a new battery and they tried to charge us $625 360 of that was just for the diagnostics alone. Again, they failed to disclose this to us. When we dropped it off. Arizona law requires that they have authorization in writing or verbal via record recording, and that they fully disclose their shop charges per hour and any upfront fees for diagnostics, which they failed to do. Whoever put the tires on my son's car prior to us taking it. They had installed the lug nuts on the front tires backwards, which they let us know about and said they had to switch them correctly. When I picked the car up, they were so upset that I refused to pay their $360 charge for diagnostics that they had put the lug nuts back on backwards, making it unsafe to leave there. I was able to replace the battery myself for $80 and went to a tire shop down the road who installed the lug nuts correctly. So all in all $95 as opposed to $625. Make sure you get something in writing from them detailing their shop charges per hour because they won't disclose it themselves ahead of time.
