2010 Kia Rondo Review
Pros
- Seats up to seven people.
- Large maximum cargo area.
- Easy to drive.
- 4-cylinder or V6 engine.
Cons
- Below-average fuel economy.
- Competitors have more features.
- Staid styling.
- AWD not available.
The 2010 Kia Rondo is a midsize, minivan-like wagon that seats seven people. It’s a good choice for families who need a roomy car with three rows of seats, or for drivers who need to haul a lot of cargo.
The Rondo brings the best qualities of a minivan in a smaller package that’s easier to drive. With a lengthy list of standard safety features, it’s a good option for drivers in need of a vehicle with modern safety features and good crash-test scores. When new, the Rondo came with an extensive warranty, and the wagon is one of the few options in its segment with an available upgraded engine.
Keep in mind, though, that the Rondo falls short of some key rivals when it comes to fuel economy and engine performance, and it lacks available all-wheel drive (AWD). The Rondo is front-wheel-drive (FWD) only, and while it does have an available 192-horsepower V6 engine, that still isn’t as powerful as some competitors’ engines. And even with its standard 4-cylinder engine, the Rondo earned an EPA rating of 22 mpg combined, which trails segment leaders.

2010 Kia Rondo vs. the Competition
A wagon such as the Rondo is an ideal choice for shoppers who need a smaller car that can seat a lot of people, has a roomy cargo area, and is easy to drive. The Rondo competes with these rivals:
Mazda5: Relatively athletic handling, useful sliding side doors, easy to drive, and seats up to six people.
Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen: Fuel-efficient available diesel engine, upscale interior, comfortable seats, wide range of engines, and nearly 67 cubic feet of cargo space.
Subaru Outback: Rugged exterior design, spacious interior, comfortable ride, highly capable off-road, and up to 71.3 cubic feet of total cargo space.

2010 Kia Rondo Reviews
Consumer Reviews
Reliable, safe, economical, upkeep minimal, trunk wheelchair-accessible, why in hell did you discontinue it?
I love this car. Many road trips.
This KIA-Rondo 2014 (LX) had an excellent engine and transmission power for a long drive as personally experienced. Just often take care to add additives (fuel injector cleaner - STP) for long-lasting performance every time the oil is changed and before petrol refueling (91 - premium type in Canada).
I bought used, but still in great condition. Only minor inconvenience is that the spare tire is stored under the car so I can no longer change my own tire.
Internal space is very good
