The 2012 Ram 3500 is a heavy-duty pickup truck that has seating for up to six people. With an immensely powerful six-cylinder diesel engine that makes 350 horsepower and a maximum towing capacity of up to 22,750 pounds, the 3500 is meant for drivers who want a heavy-duty truck designed for serious jobs. Despite being a workhorse, the Ram 3500 features a premium cabin with upscale materials and high-end features. And unlike most other heavy-duty trucks in the class, the Ram 3500 has a comfortable ride on the highway that makes it easy to drive long distances.

The Ram 3500 separates itself from the pack with a powerful diesel engine, stout towing and payload capacities, upscale cabin, enormous rear seats in the Mega Cab configuration, and a comfortable highway ride. Keep in mind, though, the Ram 3500 trails key rivals when it comes to its confusing center console layout, payload capacity, and horsepower. While the Ram 3500 has best-in-class torque, it trails rivals when it comes to horsepower. Some of the Ram 3500’s competitors also have higher payload capacities. And the interior design of the Ram 3500 isn’t as straightforward or easy to use as some of the truck’s competitors.
