2010 Audi TTS Review
Pros
- Peppy turbo-4 engine.
- Standard AWD.
- Nimble handling.
- Available as 2+2 coupe or two-seat convertible.
Cons
- Backseat room lacking in coupe.
- No manual transmission.
- Ride will be too rough for some.
The 2010 Audi TTS is a small sports car that seats four people in coupe form or two people in its open-air roadster body style. It’s ideal for drivers who like the look of the Audi TT but want more in the way of performance.
The 2010 Audi TTS is a more capable cousin of the standard TT coupe and roadster, adding enough engine power and braking and handling abilities to take it to the next level. It doesn’t quite achieve Porsche levels of performance, but it does well enough with its 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, paired with a dual-clutch 6-speed automatic transmission. Its 265 horsepower helps it leap off the line, and a sophisticated adaptive suspension combines with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) to afford tenacious grip on a variety of roads and conditions. Some people, however, may find the TTS’ ride too harsh.

Where the TTS Sits in the 2010 Audi Lineup
Audi’s 2010 line of S-designated, higher-performance passenger cars also includes the compact S4 and S5 and the midsize S6.
2010 Audi TTS vs. the Competition
Upscale performance cars remain plentiful for 2010, including these worthy rivals:
BMW Z4: Road-hugging roadster is a playful companion when the weather permits.
Infiniti G37: Luxury four-seat version of the Nissan Z with a rousing V6 engine.
Mercedes-Benz SLK: Upscale two-seater with a retractable hardtop and strong engines.
What’s the Best 2010 Audi TTS Trim for You?
Which Trim Is the Best Value?
Both the 2010 Audi TTS coupe and roadster are offered in a single Premium trim, which come standard with all the essentials, including power accessories, leather and ultrasuede upholstery, automatic climate control, a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, a nine-speaker CD stereo, satellite radio, and 18-inch wheels with summer performance tires.
Best Trim for Fuel Economy
Both the coupe and convertible versions of the 2010 TTS earned an EPA rating of 24 mpg combined city/highway, which is good for a performance-minded model.
Best Trim for Cargo Space
The 2010 Audi TTS coupe’s hatchback body style gives it 13.1 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats in place**, 23.4 cubic feet** with the rear seats folded.
Top-of-the-Line Trim
With only a single trim offered, additional features come from the options list. Available amenities include heated and powered front seats, a Bose audio system with a CD changer, navigation, and upgraded leather.
Should I Buy an Older Audi TTS instead?
The Audi TTS debuted for the 2009 model year and would see its next full makeover for 2016. A well-kept used model can serve as a budget-priced performance car, provided it clears both a mechanic’s inspection and a title search.

Consumer Reviews
Love my TTS. Wish I could find a newer one that was as affordable as my 2010.
Have had no issues to date. A 12 year old car with 68,000 miles. Things do wear. Having rear shocks replaced. Wanted a 6 speed manual but this 6 speed automatic is outstanding .
