Very easy to book a reservation and the customer service at the shop was great. It was very clear what the services would cost and how long they would have our car. The shop was very clean and although this was just a safety and emissions inspection so we could register our car in Virginia, we would bring our car back for regular service based on this experience.

I have taken my cars to Yates for many, many years and have always been extremely satisfied with the service. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and never try to "upsell" services you don't need. This year I also had some body work done up the street at Yates Collision and had a fabulous detail job done at Yates carwash. My old car looks brand new! I highly recommend all three Yates establishments!

I had my car towed to use after the battery was found to have died. Yates agreed to identify the issue and found not only was the battery dead. Additionally, the starter needed to be replace. They quotes over $2,500.00 for the work which was more expensive than any other auto shop that I called. Comparable prices from similar competitors were $1000.00 total.

I had two separate vehicles serviced at Yates Automotive the first was a complete replacement of the ignition system on my 1965 Ford Mustang. Yates did a fantastic job!
The second was to address an oil leak on my Cadillac CTS. Again, great work at a reasonable price.

Work is fine but I approved work of $900 and when I got there they told me the bill was over $1300. They got it down to a little over $1,000 after I disagreed, but it shouldnt have happened. Id suggest getting and approving estimate in writing and requesting that they contact you for permission before going over that amount, just to avoid any miscommunication.

Our car's electrical system died on a Saturday morning. We ended up having it towed to Yates (we have used them before). They were friendly and efficient, as usual. They couldn't get it done before Monday, but that was because they needed to order parts. It did get done when they said it would be and the car has been running just fine since.

Went to Yates garage in Alexandria due to unexpected nail in my front passenger's tire while driving on I395 Garage not listening to my instructions, proceeded to "repair" my driver's front tire! Nothing wrong with this tire a d charged me $50. Drove home and parked car.

Long time customer. Friendly staff and service team who know what they're doing. Reason I keep coming back here is that I never feel like I'm being ripped off. They will give you their recommendations for service but never push you into doing anything unnecessary.
