I was going to be checked out when the cashier stopped assisting me and had to check receipts of people exiting the store in the auto department. He should have continued to finish assisting me before he decided to put me on hold and check receipts.

The service itself was fine although it seemed to take quite a long time after the car was pulled into the garage. However, the auto center detached my mechanical key, for some reason, and I didn't notice it until I got home. I had to turn around and drive 40 extra miles to pick it up. I was not pleased.

I had an appointment for 3:30...almost an hour later I was still sitting behind a man who was sitting in his car waiting to be checked in to get his oil changed... (we ended up speaking later and he told me that he had been there since 2:00, but they told him they didn't have an oil filter and they would go get one so he told them he would wait... they never ended up acknowledging him after that!) I finally got down (45 minutes later) because one of the guys kept passing by and glancing our way but would just turn around and continue with whatever he was doing. When I got down, I asked him if they were busy and if they were why haven't they even acknowledged us to let us know so maybe we can decide to leave or wait. He said I should have gotten down a long time ago. Now I am an Uber driver and I'm ALWAYS at Walmart for my oil change- the cheapest! (But not at this location because it's never a good experience at this one as I have been there 2 other times and it seems like they leave your waiting forever, last time I left without getting down)... nevertheless, I have NEVER had to get down. They have ALWAYS come to the car and even said things like, "Were short staffed, if you like you can wait," or "were behind it will be an hour or 2 if you'd like to wait!" If that were the case then I'd make my decision to leave. As I I told the employee that he said, "Well, you can either wait because we're short handed..." then softened and lowered his voice a little bit, and then said, "or... you can go somewhere else!" It dumbfounded me! I didn't come to him rude I just stated a true reality and told him that he would not have liked it if he were waiting there and someone would just look at them and not let them know what's going on. Then all of a sudden, I believe someone must have said something because 2 other people came into the shop and started going to our vehicles and getting our information like they usually do. (I had actually spoke with someone who answered Walmarts phone after the auto department didn't answer. I had called before I got down. A lady had said they are very bad at not communicating and that she recommend I get down- which is why I got down- 15 minutes after the phone call!) By the time we had been acknowledged and checked in there were 5 cars in the oil change line and 1 in the tire lane. When I first got there, there were only 2 vehicles. I really, really did not want to go here but I could not find availability until Monday at any other one in my area, and after being checked in we actually got out pretty quick but the other man that was before me, they couldn't find his paperwork. So he still left after me!

I was absolutely dazzled by how good the service was! I scheduled an appointment online for the next day, checked in a little early, received text messages throughout with the final message to come pick up my car. Timeline from start to finish was well under 30 minutes, price was less than half what I paid for the same oil change at the car dealership, and Walmart completed a safety check of all the car's essentials as part of the service. Outstanding!
