Valvoline/VIOC has always been a no hassle event. Does it cost more than scheduling an oil change at a regular shop? yes. Is the service going to be as specialized as taking it to a dealer? No.
However, you're in an out quickly and the services you are getting are basic level things (oil, tire rotation, battery testing) so a specialized tech isn't normally necessary.
I like it.

I have been taking 3 vehicles to the Bardstown Valvoline since they opened many years ago. I will never do so again. I brought my Odyssey into that shop on March 2 and was told that my battery was dying. I reminded them that I had purchased a battery from them somewhat recently and that I was therefore entitled to a new battery under the warranty associated with that purchase. They tested the battery again, and -- lo and behold -- the battery was actually just fine. I was told that the second test was done properly, unlike the first. Makes me wonder whether I was truly in need of a new battery when I purchased one from them under two years ago. As far as I'm concerned, this amounts to an unfair business practice and I will never return to that shop again.
