I went in for an oil change, have a recall but was told could take a couple hours. No problem I told them I would come back as I only planned for a short visit for an oil change. 2 hours later, my car was finished with just an oil change. If I would have known an oil change took 2 hours, I would have done the 2 hour recall as well.
