I went to Take 5 on 12-23-23 at 6:30 pm to get an oil change. When they inspected my car, I was informed my air filter needed to be replaced. I agreed to let them replace it.
However, at 6:30 am on Christmas Eve, I was on the way to the Atlanta Airport, and my "check engine" light came on. I couldn't figure out why that would happen.
I called my mechanic on Christmas Eve, knowing all shops would be closed for 2 days. He said I'll come by and check on your car on Christmas Day. Well, it rained all day on Christmas and the day after.
He sent a tow truck to come and pick up my car on Tuesday evening. They finally got a chance to check my car out on 12-28-23. I received a call around 1 pm and was told the error messages that showed up was for the air filter. When they opened the hood and went to look at the air filter, there wasn't one.
Take 5 did not install the air filter on the which damaged my car. $668.35 was my total bill for parts, labor and car being towed.
I reported it to their corporate office in Metairie, Louisiana. However, I was told that it is a franchise location I went to and the owner of that store would be the one that will have to reimburse me for payment. Someone called me from their store and mumbled they got a call from corporate about the incident, but had not received any documentation. I called the young lady back and she said that was not true. She had forwarded all the pictures and documentation I sent to her, to the store.
In addition to my car being in the shop, I was not able to work until my car was returned on 12-28-23. No work for 4 days does not pay the bills.
Unhappy customer is still waiting to hear from the owner.
