Swedish Motors was very thorough in doing a 70K service on my Volvo V60XC, and when they checked the computer system, they got a several warnings and then asked me if I had seen any warnings such as a low battery on the display, as that is usually the problem. I had not, but then a few days later, the low battery warning appeared. This proves that they really know what they are doing!

They were very thorough when performing the 60K maintenance check, and found I needed a software update as well as evidence of a failing fuel pump, which they explained was common at that milage. I will be returning for replacement of the fuel pump and will definitely go there again as well as reccomend their service center to others.

I have heard good reports about Swedish Motors, and thought I would give them a try. They are exceptionally good at their job. Even though I was only there for an oil change, they checked out my V60XC and gave me a report on my car, even including tire tread depth. I was not expecting that. They allowed me to wait while they serviced my car, which was helpful. I will definitely take my Volvo there again!

Overall I, hopefully, believe that the problem causing the check engine light was solved. There was some educated guessing occurring, in my opinion, to resolve the issue. I understand that at times that is the best possible course of of action, though. Ultimately, I was not pleased with the communication about the status of the work, which most of the time I had to initiate.

I brought my 2002 Volvo V70 XC to Swedish Motors for some major front suspension and driveline work at 161k miles, and I have to say, my experience was excellent from beginning to end.
The team really knows older Volvos well and understands the common wear points on the P2 platform. They took the time to walk me through the condition of the control arm bushings, struts, CV axles, and bevel gear, and they prioritized what really needed attention. Plus, they explained everything with no pressure, which I appreciated.
The difference after the repairs is immediately noticeable. The car now drives better, feels much more stable when I brake, and handles much better overall. It honestly feels refreshed.
If you own a high-mileage Volvo and are looking for a shop that truly gets these cars, I wholeheartedly recommend Swedish Motors.
