My truck had issues 500 miles from home so I had to get a service appointment in Charlotte NC. They cleared the error codes and said I had a corroded exhaust system valve that needed replaced but they didn't have the part. So I came home and took it to my dealer, gave them a copy of the service report and contact information to Charlotte expecting the corroded part to be replaced. I left the truck with them for 11 days and they said they didn't do anything but drive it to see if an error code would pop up again. Chevrolet customer service says my only option is to drive back to Charlotte NC as they found the problem and therefore are the only dealer currently authorized to repair it under warranty!! So my inclination is my local dealer didn't contact Charlotte and didn't inspect the corroded part to verify its condition because they didn't have an error code that Chevrolet would pay them for their work, which I understand about wanting to get paid, but that leaves me screwed!
