I called due to a recall I had received a letter about in the mail 2 weeks prior.
I had mentioned that my dashboard was bubbling up (leather is no longer glued down. It's a known issue on the 5th gen RAM 1500 Limited.
I got an appointment within a few days.
When I arrived, I was greeted as always and they ordered a shuttle back to my house. A few minutes, as I was waiting in the lobby, the service technician came to me, telling me that she had canceled my ride home and that the recall even if it was a software update was not available. How is that possible ? And she said that she had taken pictures of my dash and needed to get approval from above to get it taken care of under the warranty (even if it's a known defects, like the leaky 3rd brake lights, shattered broken rear windows, etc.). It's been 3 weeks and I have not heard from them. No call or text. Nothing. I don't think they care or take seriously the fact that a recall has not been performed and that a defect remains an issue and eyesore.
