My tires needed to be rotated. There's a whole new crew working at the shop now. Apparently, the former staff members all left at the same time. It was a troubling bit of information, but I decided to check the new staff out. They took care of my tires, so it's good news.

I had an appointment for an oil change and they recommended that I have the extra BG treatment for the car. After the work and Christmas Day, I drove back home, some 150 miles. My car ran smoothly, and the mileage increased by 4 mpg after that treatment and oil change.

I paid for them to confirm a repair price on a water pump replacement and check the Left Strut for a noise. I paid around $ 200.00 and they said on the strut it looked new. If I wanted them to check it further I would have to pay another $ 200.00. I took it to another shop that did not charge to tell we what was causing the noise and made the repair for $ 215.,00. I doubt if i will ever use York again. To me they are just a ripoff.

I originally made the appointment to have all my tire sensors replaced, since the driver front sensor went out. However, we were experiencing a time crunch and asked them to replace just the passenger front sensor. We would get the rear sensors another time. Despite problems getting the sensor to read and to synch with the vehicle, they were able to resolve the problems and get me to a mid-morning appointment.

Almost two n half hours for a tire rotation? From what I know they were down a master mechanic but two n half hours? Oh, one more thing I did get a text message that my car was finished, and I received the text at 4:30 the next day! I will most likely pay the $22 and get my tire rotation from my local mechanic.

The service was excellent, as usual. We knew the tire sensor was dead, so they replaced it and checked the status of the other three. Had they been questionable, the technician would have replaced them. However, they were fine.

I needed to take my very old car on a short road trip and wanted to make sure it would get me there and back. They found a belt that needed replacing and a few other things to repair or replace, and took care of everything quickly so I could be on my way. My car did great - thank you!

The mechanic who worked on my car told me that the rear back tire was worn and should be replaced. At that time I was unaware that he had rotated the tires, and my good tires are now in front , instead of having stayed in the rear as it should have been! Best tires should always be in rear of car, and not in front! I will need to go back to Pep Boys and have them rotate the tires again so that the best tires are in the rear.

Bad news..... went back in for a sloppy oil change that continued to leak for 2 weeks. Good news....had them check my, (which should have been done same time as oil change) battery was dead and in the midst of a heavy rain storm, was able to get back on the road at by 6pm.
