The service at Mini of Rochester is good and I feel they're trustworthy. The only thing is they don't offer loaners or even a discounted rate rental, so there's the extra time and cost for a rental.

I had a very poor experience with them in 2022 due to an incompetent service manager and almost didn't go back. But I don't think that person works there any longer, and the last few times I have had my car serviced (in 2023 and 2024), they have been great--worth the 2 hour drive!

It was an expensivevisit, but we felt like the team did a great job explaining what was wrong with our Countryman, what needed to be done, and the cost. Also, the overall work done on the vehicle was great and parts arrived quickly so the work could be done in a timely manner. My daughter's Countryman is running MUCH better now.
Also, my wife and daughter wanted me to pass along their thanks to the dealership as a whole and the Service Department of course. As women, especially my daughter only being 20, they can get an ick when they walk into a car dealership. They didn't have that bad vibe at all when they walked in here. They felt welcomed and appreciated. Everyone treated them both like they belonged and not that they were just waiting for the husband/father to show up.
They will definitely see us again!

My car went into the shop with an "engine malfunction" warning, and the dealership service got to it right away. By the end of the first day in the shop, I was sent a video showing the problems that had been identified, with solutions to them recommended. This was extremely helpful. Also, the service people pick up the phone right away, and are willing to discuss issues without pressuring the customer to overspend. I get Mini branded parts, and the work is done to a hight standard.

I needed an alignment and made an appointment. It took 3 weeks to get the car in. First of all they charge $180.00 an hour! All they "found" was that my strut was a little bit out of the lower control arm. They wanted $350.00 just to loosen A BOLT, and reseat the strut and they weren't even sure if that would fix the issue, they were just shooting from the hip. I told them not to do it and I would come pick it up. After doing it myself, (a ten minute job) turns out the car just needed the steering sensors reset, which was done with an Autel scanner I don't enjoy being taken advantage of, especially when they don't even know what they are doing. Would not recommend bringing your car here, if you need real mechanic work being done to it.
