If you've been lied to at other repair shops give these guys a try. I moved to Vegas a few years ago, and couldn't find a trustworthy shop. I found that these guys do know what they are doing, but they tell you before they do work. They show you,the before and after.

They do "Bait and Switch" on their coupons. The coupon said $59.95 for full synthetic oil change but it actually cost $92.21. Their explanation was that doesn't cover all the fees (doesn't say that on the coupon) and that it's a national coupon so they have no control over it!

Be very careful when the service writer comes back to tell you what's wrong w/your car & you see the exuberant prices they're charging. Most of it is LABOR!! Don't get suckered in

Went to meineke to get an oil change. They did said oil change and an e-spection. After the e-spection the quoted me over $6100 in necessary repairs. And my check engine light was on, it wasn't on when I dropped off the car. When I get home I pop the hood to see if I can figure it out on my own, just to find out one of my sensors has been disconnected and causing the check engine light.

Service that was supposed to be done was either never done at all or a bad part was put in.... Ended up taking car to dealership, dealership service department then verified the part was not replaced. So we paid for a part and labor that never took place. Unable to get a refund. Would NEVER recommend going here.

The repair needed was not a normal automotive service. I needed the right rear window repaired and Meinekes initial diagnosis was cheaper then the dealership. They completed the actual repair within a few hours and perfectly. The dealership wanted the car for 24 to 48 hours with was unacceptable. I have all my work done at Meineke.

Good service, didnt feel confident with the break check, once I was told what I needed and I asked more questions regarding the things I see, hear, and feel with the breaks suddenly they changed up what I needed fixed, I figured they didnt really check them throughly. I would highly suggest anybody to take their car somewhere else for repairs, this shop over inflates their pricing by like double.
I came in to get an inspection on a vehicle that I just purchased that I thought had some suspension components failing in the front of the vehicle. They did their inspection and they quoted me the following:
Replace front Struts: $2.335.13
(The dealership quoted me $1250 total out the door parts and Labor)
Differential fluid service: $218.95
(Dealership quoted me $149 parts and labor)
Brake system service: $138.41
( dealership quoted me $99 parts and labor)
Cooling system flush: $206.56
(Dealership quoted me $149 parts and labor)
and here is where the real scam begins. My vehicle has 85,000 miles on it and I asked them to give me a quote on doing a transmission service. The jeep grand Cherokee has a plastic transmission pan that has a built-in filter. So when you do a proper transmission service on this vehicle, you replace that transmission pan with the filter after you have drained the transmission fluid through the drain hole.
This service advisor tried to tell me that they were going to drain the transmission fluid and replace the transmission pan gasket and filter and refill the transmission for $630.31. And then they were going to do an additional transmission service where they were going to flush the transmission for another $371.22.
A couple of issues with that. Number one anybody that knows what they're doing with a high mileage transmission knows you do not flush a transmission with that many miles on it because you could potentially cause the transmission to go out. Second of all if you're already draining the transmission and replacing the pan and filter there is no need to then turn around and flush it. You're doing two services that do the same thing.
I guess the service advisor did not listen very well because I've been a service advisor for the last 13 years for a different shop in a different city. By family has owned their own shop since I was born and I am now 45 years old. I've worked in that shop myself from the age of 18 until I was almost 30. So I'm very well-versed on these repairs and I can wholeheartedly tell you that Meineke is an absolute rip off.
while I was sitting in the waiting room, I heard them quote a man for a battery on a Chevy equinox over $300 to replace the battery. I called the local Chevy dealership and ask them how much they would charge to replace the battery on that Chevy equinox and it was less than $200.
So yes, Meineke is an absolute and total rip off, and they are scamming their customers left and right. I would highly advise with these prices. Just take your vehicle to the dealership. At least you have somebody that knows what they're doing.
