The dealership had the vehicle priced way higher than the market value and wouldn't budge on price. After weeks of waiting them out they randomly dropped the price by 4k and I walked out with the vehicle at a lower out the door price than my most recent offer to them. Not that I am complaining, but they lost money on that deal. Also took them forever to give me the vehicle, they knew we were buying it but didn't have it ready until 2:30pm even though we got to the dealership at 9am.

My experience with Lindsay Volkswagen of Manassas was extremely disappointing. My family, friends, and I have been doing business with this dealership for several years, and I have never been treated this poorly by them or by any dealership, for that matter.
I purchased a pre-owned 2025 Volkswagen GLI from them on September 28. I didn't haggle over pricing. I was upfront about what I was willing and not willing to pay. I was approved for financing, put $5,000 down, purchased GAP and other add-on options, and signed all the paperwork that same day. However, I couldn't take the car home because it still needed to go through service. I was told it would be ready in 23 days, which I was fine with.
Three days later, after hearing nothing, I reached out to check on the status of the car. I was given the runaround after multiple calls with no clear answers. Eventually, I was told they were waiting on a part that had just arrived and that the car would be ready the next day. The next morning, however, the service manager called to tell me they could no longer sell me the car because the part was on back order with no estimated delivery date.
I was extremely frustrated and even had to leave work early to address the situation in person. When I arrived, I spoke with the general manager and explained my concerns, especially the lack of communication and the fact that they sold and financed a car that wasn't even ready for sale. He offered several solutions, and although I was skeptical, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. He proposed selling me a brand-new 2025 GLI for roughly the same price as the pre-owned one.
What was not clearly explained to me was that, since the original deal had already been finalized, I now had negative equity on the pre-owned vehicle that never even left the lot. My $5,000 down payment was used to cover that negative equity, meaning it neither went toward the new car nor was refunded to me.
I then had to wait a few more days for the new car to arrive from North Carolina. When I went to pick it up, I was delayed again because the tags weren't ready. Once everything was finally sorted out, I was told to fill out a form with my account and routing numbers so the bank could automatically withdraw my monthly payments.
A month later, no payments had been withdrawn and I hadn't received any correspondence from the bank. When I called the dealership, they told me I was already five days past due. I had to contact the finance company myself to explain and resolve the issue.
Overall, I'm extremely disappointed in this dealership, especially given my family's long history of doing business with them. The lack of communication, transparency, and professionalism throughout this entire process was unacceptable. I will no longer be doing business with Lindsay Volkswagen of Manassas and would rather drive farther to another dealership than ever step foot in that one again.

Unlike traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric vehicles like your e-tron use regenerative braking, which relies on the electric motors to help slow the vehicle. Because of this, the conventional brake rotors and pads are used far less frequently, which can sometimes lead to a light buildup of surface rust on the rotors, especially if the vehicle is parked outdoors and exposed to the elements.
To help minimize this, we recommend periodically reducing or disabling regenerative braking during normal driving. This allows the standard braking system to engage more often, which naturally cleans off any surface rust from the rotors.
