Well, let's just say, thanks to Cody's knowledge and experience, he probably saved my engine. Rather than flushing my engine as I suggested, not an unknown technique, he pointed me to a Valvoline "Restore and Protect" motor oil that would clean out the crankcase over time, rather than a dramatic flush that could destroy the engine.
