The service manager treated me like a human and wasn't condescending, and even checked my brakes (which I forgot to ask him to check because I know they need work). He gave me a very reasonable estimate for both front and rear brake pads and rotors, and I'll be scheduling another appointment in the next week or two. I think I've found my forever repair shop.
