I arrived at Hoover, without an appointment, with a failed thermostat housing (meaning my coolant had all leaked out and the engine was overheating). They couldn't fit me in that day so they Ubered me home. The next day they fixed my problem and Ubered me back (both rides on them) to get my vehicle. Thats what I call service.

It took a couple of trips to the shop, but they were able to identify what was wrong with my AC. They were always very clear about the work being done, costs and timelines - and they followed through, which is hard to find from other shops. On top, they went the extra mile to help me understand my car repair's history, which will help me anticipate future expenses.

I love taking my car here. All that I speak with are trustworthy and expert in their work. I appreciate when an auto repair expert uses a "less is more" approach. In other words, they don't try to upsell anything and even recommend avoiding repairs that a dealership may recommend.

Hoover Street Auto gives us the care and honestly we deserve. They care, their honest and they never scare you into having more work done than you need. If there are other issues they will tell you what the priority is at the time. I will not use another auto shop in Ann Arbor.

Ed was awesome and they really worked with my needs too! I was stuck in Ann Arbor with a CV axle about to bust and had no way home, over an hour away! They offered me a loaner car seeing as I had full coverage insurance! That saved a lot of time and hassle for me! The repairs were done within 2 days and I was back on the road! There were a little expensive, but they fixed the electrical issue some ground wire that broke. I was happy at least they had somebody that knows electrical and could chase the wire down and they fix my headlights. The ground wire wires were no good.
