They are very professional and maintain good communication via text and email. I know the industry standard is now to charge for diagnosis of a problem, but given the cost of repairs, it would be nice to have this subtracted from the overall charges.

Couldn't fix either of the issues I brought the car in for. They said that they would just have to start by guessing. They are very high priced to be guessing as we're paying by the hour. I took my car back without having them fix it and another mechanic diagnosed and fix the problem in less than 30 minutes For a fraction of the price they wanted for just the diagnosis

Try listening to your customer when they say the part your trying to replace is not an issue, it wasn't an entire intake system, it was a $100 hose.

We're sorry to hear you had a less-than-satisfactory experience. We performed due diligence by smoke-testing the intake system and found a leak at the throttle body intake area. We did not find the hose you mentioned leaking. I'd like to think that during disassembly, we would have identified any additional intake leaks the vehicle may have had.
It was never our intention to miss the mark, and we absolutely would have made things right in the end. I'd be happy to discuss this further and, if appropriate, refund the diagnostic charge. Please let us know how we can best help.

Work was well done and I believe less costly than at dealership, but missed promise dates several times and lack of proactive comms on delivery promises missed caused several replans. Loaner car was helpful/essential to resolving those issues.
