We have been coming to Exclusively Imports since 2022. For the most part we have always been pleased with their services, although they are on the pricey side. We kept coming to them and recently had a bad experience. To keep this short, we felt the owner cared more about making $150-175 more than salvaging the customer relationship. After having our car with them for about 5 days, we went to pick it up and soon after leaving their lot, a part on the hood flew off. We immediately took it back and the owner refused to take any responsibility for the fact that they may have contributed to the new issue. We have spent close to $10,000 with them since 2022 and he preferred to lose us as customers than take a small loss for an issue we believed resulted from their work on the car. We are never coming back to a business that nickels and dimes their customers.

We take feedback seriously, and we'd never want a longtime customer to leave feeling unheard. We did inspect the hood component in question, and our finding was that it was already loose at the time the vehicle arrived-not something that resulted from the work we performed. We understand that's a frustrating thing to hear, and we're sorry it came across as us prioritizing anything over your experience. That was never our intent. Our pricing reflects the specialized diagnostic equipment, OEM quality parts, and trained technicians that European vehicles require, and we always aim to be transparent about the work and the cost before proceeding. We'd welcome the chance to talk this through directly. Please feel free to call the shop and ask for Jolene we genuinely like to understand your concerns and see if there's a way to make things right. Thank you again for years of trust in us.

Sergio and his professional team have always performed extremely well working on my several Volvos I have had service done to. I have been taking my cars to Exclusively Volvo for the past 30 years. It is great to have a high quality Volvo shop located in Whittier. Exclusively also works on other brands and I'm sure their expertise is just as good as with Volvo. I've spent about $10k at this shop in the last 7 years. Took my Dad's vehicle in for service. Spent $3k (tires, CV boot, Battery, Oil Change) Driving the vehicle after I picked it up it started misfiring and then slightly overheating. Pulled over after daughter and I smelled burning. Popped hood and vehicle had coolant and not smoking. Tried to pull out dipstick to check oil and it was stuck in tube really hard as if it was baked on. Pulled it out and it showed ZERO oil on the stick. Dry as a bone. I put the stick back in to dip it again and went to pull it out and the plastic end broke off leaving the top and stick stuck in holder. Let car cool down and drove 1 block to shop and dropped off with owners son. Hour later owner calls and said they got the dipstick out and it had oil and in a condescending tone asked if I even knew how to check oil. Really? I'm a 60 year old man who's owned 25 vehicles and built several. He then tells me that codes are for fuel injector #8 and the overheating is the fan relay. After consulting my knowledge, other shops, and Google overheating and issues of rough running are a result of a damaged engine due to no oil. I tell him to fix it. I get no calls for almost two weeks and when I call he says it need a whole new hydraulic radiator relay and its $2600 and Jeep doesn't make it anymore because its a 2010. He says if I can find it he will install it. This vehicle is older and I get it but none of these issues happened before I picked it up after a large service. I told him I would pay for the dipstick and pick up my vehicle. He was short and said he would put it back together as they had it all apart and were going to get the fuel injector serviced and remanufactured because Jeep doesnt make it any more. I asked him why not just put a new injector in. He stated because it has to match all the others? I bought a box of 8 OEM fuel injectors for $132 and replaced them all in 2 hours. When I picked up the Jeep it ran terrible. When I installed the new injectors I found out why. The cover had a missing bolt and the connector for the fuel injector #2 on the front right side was not even connected. Now I am pretty sure that if the engine is not damaged significantly it will definitely have a shortened life span. It really is a shame that when this man told me what I needed for my car for the last 7 years I trusted him to do it and do it right. I should have listened to my friend who had a similar situation at this shop with the owner and also spent multiple thousands more than he ever should have. Now I am sure that a majority of the service I received at this shop was not necessary or done with any level of professionalism. I would advise everyone to be cautious and steer clear as he has no issue in lying directly to your face!
