I'm a reasonably old dude...I turn 70 next December...had a lot of cars and had a lot of service done over the years. Doc Motor Works is the best auto shop I've had the good fortune to find. I will never go anywhere else as long as they are there. I have the "big stuff" done there as well as oil changes. When I'm treated well and can trust a business I stay loyal to them.

After several attempts to diagnose a stubborn check engine light, Scott's crew replaced my gas cap at my suggestion and the problem is solved. Because of my loyalty to his shop over the past 4 years, he made the repair complimentary which assures I will continue to patronize his business. It's satisfying to deal with Scott and Nikki, both of whom took a personal and compassionate interest in the recent loss of my wife.

DMW and specifically Scott always provide excellent service and keep the customer informed every step of the way. Even without an appointment, Scott got his crew working on my issue as quickly as possible. I could have taken my car to a Chrysler dealer but I know for certain they would not have provided the level of service that DMW did, which is why I always think of them FIRST before any alternative.

Had a number of concerns regarding my "old" vehicle. The dedicated Staff listens intently and was able to not only diagnose the problems not also repair in replace in a timely manner. Doc Motor Works always solves my car problems. I won't trust anyone else.

Very disappointed in the service Ive been getting at doc motor works.
The last three times Ive taken it there, Ive had issues after getting it serviced.
1) not filling the radiator completely after getting it replaced.
2) not finding the original source of an oil leak. Had to pay labor twice.
3) my oil temp gauge went into the red after it was serviced while driving home.

They had the car for almost two weeks. I have been dealing with an overheating issue for a few months now. Every time I bring it in there they fix what they tell me is wrong I get it back and then miraculously something else goes wrong and I have to give them more money. They are running a scam. No doubt about it. I have given them over 6000 dollars. I could of bought a used car for that. A bunch of crooks

The Motor Guide for repair shows 20 hours of repair to perform cylinder head gasket replacement. Our labor was less expensive than the Dealership they brought the vehicle from. We were less for the same repair. We had many phone calls with the customer to keep them informed and answered every question they had. During the test drive everything operated correctly. I am willing to pay for the local dealership to inspect the vehicle to assure that it is operating properly. I wish to help.

One star is giving too much credit!! I'm sure the shop is decent as long as there is no major troubleshooting to do! I'm not an auto mechanic but I'm not an idiot, and im not dishonest! My car broke down so unfortunately i had it towed to docs motor works. Took about 2 hrs for a tow and multiple calls back and forth and they started looking at it the following day and bill called me and said it needed some o2 sensors, a purge valve canister and a battery and a few other things that were not too serious (oil change, spark plugs, a/c compressor belt) for around $2900! I specifically asked Bill if he thought it was worth putting $2900 into a nearly 10 year old car with 187000 miles on it, and without hesitation he said it's a great car and I should have no problems getting another 5-6 years out of it! So I authorized to have the work done!! HUGE mistake! He called me the next day saying they did the work and the check engine light came on and I need a new transmission! Quoted me around $4000 for a used transmission!! This can't be real!! When I brought up maybe this was a misdiagnosis he kind of got defensive and told me cars are "tricky" and told me if i don't come pickup my car by the following Monday I could be charged storage fees!! Just crazy and comical at this point! I had my car towed there never thinking something like this could/ would ever happen! At the end of the day I payed them around $2800 for absolutely nothing! It was gona be like $2900 but they threw me a bone and took off the "diagnosis fee"!! Hmmm! I wonder why they did that?!?! Said "good faith" on the bill!! I've never been screwed so hard by any mechanic! No car mechanic has ever told me cars are "tricky" again I'm sure they are decent people but my car was 100% misdiagnosed and I basically had around $2800 stolen from me due to someone's lack of troubleshooting/diagnosis capabilities! Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else!

I had been searching for a trustworthy repair shop for a long time and finally found one that is honest and communicates extremely well. I worked with Bill on a warranty repair, and the entire process was smooth. He was a pleasure to work with and genuinely a nice guy.
The shop itself is clean, welcoming, and very friendly. With multiple vehicles in my householdincluding a fleet vehicleI will now be using them exclusively and referring them to anyone who needs repairs or routine maintenance.

This was my 4th visit and all previous visits went well with attention to detail and feeling confident that my car was in good hands. However, today's visit was a little frustrating , not so much the waiting for service to be completed, but the timetable stated for completion was delayed twice. Once due to an mis identified part and the other for the time period given to complete the repair once the part arrived at the shop. These were the two main examples of misinforming the customer upon completion. A small side detail > after the oil change part of the service was performed I noticed the technican did not perform an oil change meter reset in my vehicle. It still stated 40 % oil level remaining and should have been reset to 100% after the oil change was completed. On a positive side the owner was attentive and understanding to my frustration and offered a slight discount on the bill. I may still return to Doc"s in the future as the prices are agreeable but I do see a change in attentive details for each service that was completed. My experience today compared to my first three visits that I had for service with them where different indeed.
