Dakota Auto is a great independent shop. The mechanics are experienced, upfront about repairs, and never recommend work that isn't needed. Pricing is fair and very reasonable compared to chain shops and dealerships. Turnaround time is quick, and the service is consistently reliable. Attentive employees, they listen to you! A bit pricey but my family has used Dakota K soon they opened in the 1970's. I also like that they can show you pics of issues-especially BIG issues. I can't speak for others but I don't feel I am being scamed.

Their customer service is great!! Stayed in contact with me so I knew what was going on. I was able to pick up my car earlier than expected. I also received a discount because they were able to get parts from their supplier costing less than expected and passed it on to me. They also have loaners which is extremely helpful. I am a repeat customer and will not go anywhere else.

Cold snowy winter weather windshield wiper broke. Went in when they were swamped. The fixed the problem- new wipers and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Typical of the outstanding service they provide. Trusted with my cars for years.

We certainly understand that weekend/ later hours are more convenient. Our staff generally work nine hour days. We think that they are all a great asset, and we want to keep them happy and ready to serve you. They do their best to accommodate, give rides and provide loaner cars when available.
