The service performed was good. I ended up having to leave my car which shouldn't happen and the windshield had a rock chip which was caused during the text drive. They wouldn't take responsibility and it cost me an extra $40. to repair. If I continue to use Chimney Rock I'll be more aware of what's going on, and less trusting of the staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you felt the service itself was good, and we're sorry for the frustration you experienced during your visit. Because the vehicle arrived without an appointment and required an alternator replacement on a Mercedes-Benz, we did need to wait for the correct part to arrive and complete the repair between previously scheduled appointments. This resulted in the vehicle staying with us longer than originally anticipated, and we understand how inconvenient that can be. Regarding the windshield chip, we take any concerns about vehicle condition very seriously. Since diagnostic testing was declined, the post-repair test drive was limited to nearby surface streets only and did not involve freeway driving, where debris-related damage is most likely to occur. After reviewing the circumstances, we were unable to attribute the chip to our repair process or test drive. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to clarify. Our goal is always to provide quality workmanship, clear communication, and professional service. If you decide to visit us again, we would welcome the chance to deliver an experience that fully meets your expectations.

Had it towed in for the seat to be fixed, y'all couldn't fix it. While it was there, for the seat to be fixed, y'all did change out the cluster and vacuum out water. So the speedometer works in a car I can hardly stand to drive for over $900?

We're sorry to hear your frustration and would like to provide some additional context. Your vehicle was brought in for an instrument cluster replacement. At drop-off, you also mentioned that after driving through high water, the seat began moving forward and was pushing you into the steering wheel. When the vehicle arrived, it had significant interior flooding, and our team removed over 8 gallons of water. We recommended further disassembly to properly dry the vehicle, which was declined. During diagnosis, we found the power seat control module had been fully submerged and heavily corroded, which is why the seat was not operating properly. As a courtesy, our technician supplied power and ground to move the seat back into a safe, usable position resolving the immediate concern of being pushed into the steering wheel. The replacement of the power seat control module was declined. After replacing the instrument cluster, the vehicle would not start. There was no communication with any control module. We recommended stopping at that point due to the extent of water intrusion, waiving all current fees accrued, but you asked us to continue with repairs, which we did. We then performed additional testing and found corrosion in a relay causing a loss of communication between modules, consistent with flood-related damage. After replacement of the relay the vehicle started and was driveable again. Your vehicle left with the instrument cluster functioning as requested and the seat in a usable position. Unfortunately, vehicles that have been flooded often develop widespread and unpredictable electrical issues, and electrical diagnosis in these situations can be more extensive. We made every effort to help in a very challenging situation and invested significant time beyond what was billed. We wish you the best moving forward.

Zero stars. Terrible experience. Engine light was on. They allegedly repaired the issue 400 later. A week later light is back on and these clowns wanted to charge me another diagnostic fee. Needless to say I refused their 105 fee for the second time in a week and although their location was convenient to me I have 4 vehicles that will need servicing from time to time and they lost a customer. Steer clear.

We recently brought our 2005 Chevrolet Suburban into Chimney Rock Car Care for a full round of maintenance and repairs, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The team completed an oil change, air filter replacement, battery test, tire rotation, wiper replacement, brake fluid service, transmission fluid service, transfer case output speed sensor replacement, axle seal repair, valve cover gasket replacement, and brake service. Everything was explained clearly, the work was completed thoroughly, and the Suburban is running better than it has in a long time. It's hard to find a shop that takes the time to properly inspect and maintain an older vehicle, but the team here really cares about doing things the right way. Highly recommend Chimney Rock Car Care for honest, professional service.
