I came in with the engine light on. I paid for a diagnostic and replaced the thermostat, after negotiating a very overpriced quote. Two days later the engine light returned. I returned to the shop and paid for the second diagnostic. This time I was told I had a defective oil control solenoid. After receiving another overpriced quote for the repair, I decided to pay for this second diagnostic and go to a different Cadillac dealership.

Service took at least an hour. Oil change and tire rotation cost $167.00, when I questioned a charge for oil additive they said they always do that. When I said they should have asked if I wanted the additive, they waved an oil change chart at me and said cost is listed here. This was the first time I'd seen this chart as it waved at me. Service department is rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone!!

Service Tech was very helpful and expedient in getting a parking switch ordered and installed. The switch works great. My only disappointment was the cost of $403 to exchange a simple switch. The switch itself was only about $50 so the extra seemed a bit high. I suppose it is a sign of the times. I will still take my Cadillac to Ben Mynatt but may ask for prices first. They do a great job!

The customer service is great, but the labor costs are exorbitant. Realizing that most dealer revenue comes via the service department and theres always pressure to suggest additional repairs, $1,700 to change brake fluid and door locks is ridiculous.
