I was towed to the center because my car did not start. My diagnosis was that the starter had gone bad. The AAA car care center had the car for a day before reporting its findings. They provided a detailed list of some items that needed immediate attention, Items that needed to be considered, and 39 items that were checked and reported as good. Bad items were Alignment, front suspension, and a diagnosis of needs starter. In the check list was thorough and included things like "cloudy windshield wiper fluid, cloudy transmission fluid, Cloudy radiator fluid, but I looked at the good items too. The good items included Battery and alternator. I decided to go with the alignment and starter to get the car going again. $2,700.00 later my son drives the car off the lot 2 miles away to work and parks it for 4 hours. He drives away from work at 10:00 and loses all power, lights, and is stuck on a pitch-black road until we can arrive unable to put even his hazard lights on. I was able to get the car home with the jump box connected as the battery and charged the battery the next day. I returned to the shop as soon as possible as the car was driving OK with a charged battery but shortly lost all gauges very rapidly. After another 3 days at AAA I was told the car needed a battery and alternator. My battery was only a year old, but I told them to go ahead with the alternator. They told me that I may still get a check engine light, but they were not able to help me with that and I would have to go to a dealer because it may be a ECM software update or even an ECM which they were unable to assist me with. $3,000.00 to drive off the AAA lot with a car that may not even be able to pass inspection. I feel that I was lied to, I am not even confident that it was a starter problem it may have been the alternator the whole time, I feel that they spent more time on selling me service than fixing the actual issue. They did not even thoroughly inspect the alternator and battery in the initial analysis if it went bad after I left the lot. I would not recommend service at AAA. I have placed a complaint with their customer service and home that they will make up for their failed service.

They lose 2 stars because when I called at 2:40pm they said they would come in a half hour. They came at 4:15pm so I waited an hour and 45 minutes.
I'm a severely disabled veteran injured in service. I begged him to come as I needed my medicine. AAA told me to call 911. Very patronizing and rude. The repairman they sent was excellent. The dispatcher got caught in a lot of lies. I finally got home around 5:00pm. I should have been home by 3:30 if they were honest. If this was free I would understand but it wasn't. I pay membership every year
