2005 Lexus LS
2005 Lexus LS Review
The 2005 Lexus LS 430 is a large luxury car with five seats. It’s for drivers seeking a premium sedan with poised handling and many upscale amenities.
All models have a 4.3-liter V8 under the hood that produces 290 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels.
The LS offers the refined driving dynamics that have made the Lexus brand a longstanding favorite among car buyers; its suspension efficiently keeps rough road surfaces from jostling the cabin. The interior is lavishly deluxe, with opulent styling and acres of wood and leather. It’s one of the most upmarket cabins in a very premium class of vehicles.
Well-equipped in its base form, this Lexus is available with even more plush amenities that allow you to make it as luxurious as you see fit. The options list includes navigation, a Mark Levinson stereo, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, headlamp washers, a power door closer, and adaptive cruise control.
There are also some weaknesses to consider. While this sedan impresses with its smooth ride, rivals provide more engaging handling. Also, some of its controls are not as ergonomic and easy to access as they could be.

Consumer Reviews
Over 210000 miles, not a single problem with anything ever. I was told the engine was like new by the service people at the 200000-mile service. Comfortable, quiet. From northern Indiana to Georgia and back, 25MPG with 80mph almost all the time. If you turn off the air conditioning, you cannot hear the engine. Pure joy.
Fantastic vehicle — no frills no fuss just go. Beyond impressed of quality
A total driver, only downside is mpg. Still a hell of a value.
Love my car rides great even for age.
This trouble free car since I have owned it is great. I purchase at 58,614 miles and the CarFax report showed it had met all services requirements during it's life. The Timing Chain had been replaced in advance of it's required sequence.
