They couldn't find the problem with the valve lifter but they didn't charge an excessive amount of money either. I suspect it's a problem with poor lubrication of one after sitting for a few weeks. Driving to the service center probably heats up the engine and thins the oil enough that the tapping sound disappears. I'll have to either leave the car there or locate and flag the problem.

They did a wrong diagnostic. I told them that my mobile mechanic recommended a new motor and they decided to pull the motor apart and fix different parts. At the end of the day the motor was no good. Had to pay them $2100. Now my car is at another shop getting a brand new motor installed. Sullivan Cadillac needs to change there name to Sullivan Cadillac knowledge less.

On May 6, 2024 I took my 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.6L to Sullivan Cadillac for a slow coolant leak. I purchased my Grand Caravan from Sullivan Cadillac in February 2018 and have been satisfied with the vehicle. When I arrived for my service appointment at 7:30 AM, Advisor Esefania Adaro said the diagnostic fee was $180, which I thought was too high, but I was already there, so I agreed. Had the $180 fee been disclosed when I made the appointment, I would not have scheduled and gone elsewhere. In the afternoon I was told my vehicle needed a new upper radiator hose. Sullivan wanted $725.23 to replace the upper radiator hose and flush the cooling system, which I declined. Don's Garage in Ocala said the job would cost $125 to $150 plus the cost of the hose, which is about $45. So I ended up paying Sullivan $192.60 for a diagnostic fee (with tax) and my vehicle was not repaired. Don's Garage in Ocala could have repaired my vehicle for less than Sullivan changed to diagnose it. The total cost at Sullivan would have been $918.36 (192.63+725.73) to replace the upper radiator hose, which is CRAZY! Never Again! P.S. also had a hassle getting a ride from my office down the road to pick up my vehicle.
