Unfortunately had a dashboard warning in my new Volvo EV, but the great experience at Volvo Cars San Diego made up for the inconvenience of having to bring my car in for service. Just needed a special software update and no more popups. A special shout out to service advisor Jared for always giving 100% to resolve issues. This is one organized and efficient team serving Volvo customers, and I, for one, appreciate it.

Sat there for 10 days at least before they looked at it, a full week after my appointment time. Then finally order the axle I needed and get it in and I'm good to go 3 weeks later. Glad they washed it at least and Pedro was nice. Was his birthday and he went outta the way to get his c30 to check a similar part on his for me.

Actual tech service may be good, but Service Writer wasn't good. Had an appointment for Quick Service, but he said the appointment was with him, and went off about how people were so entitled these days. He didn't know about the website rebate or service specials, and the Service Manager(Roman) was only marginally better, but said the Volvo Service for Life is a one time thing. Not what the Volvo Cars NA website says.

Dealership charged me over $500 for a repair that I later discovered was covered under Volvo's own emissions system warranty. After they acknowledged their mistake, I had to keep pestering them to get my money back. I did get it eventually, but I shouldn't have had such a hard time getting my own money back.

I originally had gone to this dealer because I believed I needed a software update but when they were, done with repairs, I was told that I didn't need a software update and I most likely had a blown head gasket. I waited almost 2 hours just for them to tell me that they did nothing to my car and they were going to charge me anyway. What a ripoff!!!

Volvo of San Diego service dept. is top-notch, but unfortunately the software in my new 2023 Volvo C40 EV, is anything but. Lots of issues, and it's not just me, owners report numerous issues with the center display that uses the Google operating system. In my case, the music aps, especially Amazon Music (my choice since I'm a Prime member), just plain doesn't work. Dealership has tried three times to fix to no avail. So 5 stars to VofSD, 0 stars to Volvo.
