I test drive 4 vehicle with knock engine noise and bad oil leak, and either smoke from mufflers very desapoinet with the service I drive 2 hrs to the dealership for this results

I drove about two hours to buy this vehicle 2011 Ford Edge 167000 miles. I called before coming. They told me about the problem and told me about the warranties. Everything I was told to me what was wrong brakes and a complete tuneup was necessary. They agreed to fix it and sell me the vehicle. I was approved and paid a deposit. Then the dealer asked me to come the next day and pick up The Ford. I called and they told me they change their mind. They told me the same problems the mechanic didnt work full time and couldnt. I offered because I was bringing my mechanic with me to check out the vehicle out anyway and he would fix the issues. They refused. I was supposed to pick this vehicle up and was will to wait if I had too. They refused to sell me the vehicle I chose and was approved. I understood and knew everything that was wrong with it. They lied to me and it took them three days to return my deposit. They were rude and refused any other vehicles as options on their lot. I would not recommend ever going to this dishonest lot in Tampa Florida off of Memorial Highway. The Ford edge was selling for $4900 with the problems. The reason they decided they werent going to sell to me was because they changed the price and sold it for more. So they made more money. Karma will come. Horrible communication, very rude ,owner refused to call me back to negotiate with any other deal on another vehicle. I plan on telling everybody I know because I am in the advertising industry. Never to go to this car lot Pick up nation. Very bad business practices that knew my situation before I drove all that way. Then lied about their mechanic fixing it and letting me drive off. Absolutely no integrity or accountability grown men that acted like children.

Hi Stephanie! We're very sorry for your experience. After we reviewed this vehicle, it was completely unfit to sell to our standards. We did not avoid selling it to you, to sell it for more. We didn't sell it to the public in general because it was not a fit vehicle. It was sent to the auction. Your deposit was returned in a timely manner and we understand your disappointment about getting the vehicle, but unfortunately that vehicle did not meet our standards. Thank you.
