I was so disappointed with the way I was treated at Metairie Motors I had to draft this email to them which was sent out around Saturday July 31, 2021. I have gotten no response from the dealership which does not surprise me. "Our Dealership is founded on trust, integrity, and respect. We are proud to offer these values in our sales and business practices, so our customers keep coming back." I had to chuckle when I read these words on your website. WHY? Because I have just gone through a horrendous experience trying to purchase a car from Metairie Motors. I responded to an ad for a Honda Civic on Carfax and was directed to Metairie Motors. When I called I spoke to someone named Alan who told me I could save time by submitting my financial application on line. I filled out the application, waited two days. When I called back I was told by somebody (who I assumed was Alan) that he had the application in front of him and he would look at it and call me back...(He never offered an explanation as to why it took two days to look at it). Well, he never called back. When I finally did get Alan on the phone he asked me to hold on and never came back to the phone. I called back the next day and spoke with someone who said his name was Sam and he reviewed the application and he would call me back in five minutes. He never called back. (He also never offered an explanation as to why the other guy never called back). I called back the next day and asked to speak to Sam and was told that Sam was with a customer. I asked about the application and was told I didn't qualify. I asked why Sam had not called back to tell me that. He couldn't answer. It became obvious to me by this time that I was being given the royal run around. (How long does it take a fool to figure it out). I'm taking the time out of my busy schedule to say this. I started out by saying I had bad credit so my application being denied does not bother me. What does bother me is the dishonesty and deception on the part of Metairie Motors. Why the lies? What was so difficult about returning a call? Why continue to say I'll call you back and then ignore me...to the point of having someone else lie for you. What kind of business are you guys running? I am sure this letter will end up in the trash can because I am not telling you anything you don't already know. But I do know that you have one very dissatisfied customer who will not be recommending your business to anyone soon. What happened to the trust, honesty and respect your business was founded on. It must have flown out the window with every customer who you could not make a sale off of. At least change that slogan. That would be one honest deed you can accomplish.
