Charged $1200 to only diagnose issue with transmission then additional payment to fix the issue. $220 for installing a battery and starter which is a simple job and takes less than an hour. Overcharged and car still is not running. Terrible service.

The customer towed the vehicle to my shop on Tuesday, 9/5, with the starter and battery removed, stating it would not go into gear and was overheating after someone replaced the clutch. The customer authorized 1.2 hours of labor to install the battery and starter and diagnose the issue with the transmission.
We quoted the customer book time to R&R transmission and possibly replace or repair the improperly installed clutch and would have applied 1.2 hours of the diagnostic time to the labor.
The customer took two days to think it over and declined repairs. All repairs done here include a three-year or 36,000-mile nationwide warranty on parts, labor, and towing.
