The Dakota Truck was pure junk and overpriced. Lack of quality pictures. They sent me a short video that didn't show much and didn't start the engine to hear if it ran well. They seem shady and lack of transparency. Too many RED flags.

My wife and I went to look at a vehicle. When we got there they said they had to change the battery. I thought nothing of it. We test drove the vehicle and everything seemed great beside the few noticeable issues. After we started to drive home with the vehicle we got no more than 5 miles down the road and a engine light came on. I told my wife we already signed the paper work and everyone left when we did. So there was no turning back. A few days later I had the chance to run a diagnostic on the vehicle we bought and it alerted me of 32 codes which also told me that they had cleared the codes. I, then reached back out to the dealership and told them all the issues I was having. They then denied that they cleared the codes and in many words that it was my problem to deal with. So, I strongly would would recommend that people say very cautious of this shady dealership.

The entire transaction took less than an hour. My car concern questions were answered with a logical and familiar "its an old car with quirks"
I was confident I had found our new auto.
The financial person was mindful of the paperwork, even caught his mistake of adding Alabama tax. Which brought up the sales tax percentage of MS...and lead me to the understanding that I would be paying tax to dealership and the dealership would pass it along to my county tax office.
I signed on the line, paid him cash and his change came up one dollar short. But I wasn't going to complain over a dollar. I didn't even want them to give me a tank even though it was less than a quarter. I was so grateful to have found an affordable auto that would accommodate my 6 kids and myself.
I filled the tank up at gas station and had checked the oil dip stick at dealership and as I drove home I noticed a familiar sound. I couldn't recall why I was familiar with this sound until I was taking my daughter to school and as we top a steep rolling hill the warning light flashed STOP ENGINE only I couldn't at this red light on a hill in the middle of school traffic so we prayed our way to the nearest station. I bought one quart of oil and poured it into the auto. I had the auto serviced after work same day.
When my auto paperwork arrives at the Courthouse I learn that I had not paid MS sales tax at the time of purchase. I was charged a dealership service fee. I felt violated and swindled by Lamb Motors. I paid a service fee for an auto that was not serviced by them and I feel certain given the very oil level in the auto was never checked. A full tank from a dealership isn't a written in ink service but it is an understood gesture of good faith between company and client.
Lamb motors lacks the ethics required for repeat business and if my experience bears weight no business until they demonstrate a level of integrity and trustworthiness that I rely, no, depend on from carfax and its affiliates as a single mom with not enough time or knowledge to devote to checking out an auto and a dealership.
As to my experience..the auto has met all my expectations and more. Lamb Motors has not as of yet to respond to my inquiry concerning this service charge fee and my misunderstanding of the sales tax. I don't expect they will be acknowledging the incident unless exposed.
Carfax is an important buying tool for so many and its a great shame that its trustworthy reputation when buying autos could be destroyed by the greedy ad unethical practices of a small town dealer.
