Couldn't even find a vehicle. Looks like an abandoned hanger of some sort.

James had excellent communication and was professional throughout the entire experience. I did not end up purchasing a vehicle, however, I would consider buying one from Florida Direct Auto if another opportunity presented itself.

Unfortunately, I had to enter a full star because a fraction of a star was not an option. I'd consider walking everywhere I needed to go, barefoot, before purchasing another car from this dealer. At a minimum, take any vehicle you are considering buying from Florida Direct Auto to a mechanic BEFORE signing the check, or please, at least get it on a lift where you can get a good idea of the overall condition of the vehicle. I can say one good thing, they completed the paperwork to accept my check and file the tag in a timely manner. That's about it though. Don't misunderstand, I take full responsibility for the purchase; after all, buyer beware right? The vehicle ran good and the body I could see was in decent shape. The salesman did say "The undercarriage has some rust on it". No kidding?! And the Mojave Desert does has some sand in it. Based on the salesman's less than full disclosure, I thought it was a risk well taken. Big mistake. I took the vehicle to a mechanic to have all fluids and filters changed and to check a soft brake pedal. By the end of the day, it was obvious the only option I had for this vehicle was to try to find a junkyard that might buy it to be parted out. I cant in good conscience sell it to anyone as it is now. The rust was so prevalent that the vehicle could not even be aligned. The surface rust you see on frames was not the issue, it was the embedded rust up in crevices' and behind body panels that you cannot see by lying on the ground and looking up. I would expect however that a reputable car dealer COULD identify these issues and not sell such an unsafe vehicle to the public. Shock and coil spring mounts were so degraded that the mechanic recommended that they not be replaced for fear of catastrophic failure of the chassis parts. The brakes, although the pads were good as the dealer was quick to point out (he even took a bunch of pictures of the pad thickness which in hindsight probably should have set off alarm bells) were so pitted with rust that the only safe option for continued driving was to replace all stainless steel brake lines, and all components of the rear and front brakes. I did ask the dealer if they would take the vehicle back, and of course they wouldn't. I don't blame them, I don't want it either. They obviously don't have any faith in their product either, because hey, why not just take it back and sell it later right? I even offered them $500.00 to take it back. Now that should tell you they KNEW the car had bad issues. I have purchased 30 or 40 cars in my life, and must have just been very lucky each time. I guess I just never crossed paths with a company so short on integrity. So at the end of the day, as I get ready to transfer overseas, I am still looking for a vehicle but with far less money to buy one. Seriously, for the sake of your safety, I would discourage anyone from purchasing a car from these guys without an abundance of caution. Either they are inept and cannot tell when a car is unsafe, or they are shady enough to sell it anyway.

Not sure what we're supposed to do here, we literally told this customer there was rust underneath this particular truck. We took this truck in on trade from a customer who moved down from New York and he knew this. We didn't hide anything and were completely transparent. The truck was priced significantly lower than other comparable trucks and that's why he bought it, even after disclosing what was wrong. He's upset and that's understandable, but let's put things in perspective here. We did the right thing by disclosing the issue, end of story.
