I noticed on my invoice that the shop had put the wrong oil, 0w-20, in my Subaru and the engine began smoking. I thought that maybe that they made a honest mistake, but after my conversation with the manager I was told that this is standard practice at their shop because I didnt specify the oil that I wanted in my car. The oil that I needed in my car is stated right on the oil cap on top of the engine. I brought my car back in and asked them to change the oil and they initially refused so then I asked for a refund, also refused. Finally after I had a heated exchange with the manager on duty he complied with my request and put the correct oil 5w-30 in my vehicle. It has stopped smoking and burning oil. Will not return. Will not sacrifice my car for their convenience of using a thin oil.
