Made offer,went to see car,mike came to see trade in, said offer wast acceptable, turned back to me and walked away. No counter offer, no nothing. Im 82 years old,have dealt with many sales people and was not impressed with this person or dealership. Seems they didnt care if they sold a car or not. I was impressed with the car but am looking elsewhere .

This person came to our lot in the midst of us cleaning up our lot and vehicles after a snow storm of 41 inches (which was explained to him, prior to him coming). We had two people stop doing snow removal to assist him while he was here. He had emailed us and said that he could $8000 plus his trade-in to purchase the vehicle, and he would need us to work with that. He brought down his trade-in, which had significant hail damage, and unfortunately the value of it plus $8000 was no where near what we needed to sell the vehicle. So, we told him we could not do that. I, Mike, did turn away and get back to removing snow, because his salesman, Jeff, was standing next to him to politely explain to him that we would not be able to work within his budget with his trade-in. We did not make a counter offer, as he had explained that $8000 plus his vehicle was all that he could do. We do not feel comfortable pushing people beyond the budget that they have told us that they need to stay within. This was not done to be rude, or to not care, but quite the opposite, to politely not try to pressure him into something that he told us he was not able / did not want to do. We do care about treating people the way we would like to be treated, and we would not want to feel pressured into spending beyond our set budget. So, again, it's not that we do not care, but quite the opposite that we do care. And, if selling a car requires us to do something out of our character, then no we do not want to sell a car under those circumstances. If anyone reading this review would like to purchase a vehicle from a dealership that is pushy, pressuring, and tries to talk you into purchasing a vehicle beyond the budget and means you have explained to us, you will not like Driven Automotive.
