Car wasn't even ready when I got there. Place stunk like weed and the sales person tried to tell me I'd need to fill out a finance application before he could talk to me about numbers. Super unprofessional environment - would avoid the place like the plague if you can help it

It always been like this we need to know what you doing cash or finance. If you do Finance before you take a car for a test drive we need pre Approvel. Becouse for several reasan if you have a many for down payment, Plus if your creadit not strong if a bank will not give you all a many for buying a car What next you will like a car but many for down payment you do not have right. What why we need pre approvel before you test drive a car.

He was very pushy after I tried to explain to him that there was some heavy set rust on some of the car and he insisted it wasn't important. I tried to show him. He was very hesitant and finally looked under only to tell me I don't know what I'm looking at.

Horrible experience. Very rude and unprofessional Manager who lacks customer service skills. Never contacted me after my request on line was made and when phone call was made to the business manager was very unprofessional on the phone make it sound like he doesnt want to do his sales. I called and was told the owner had to get his child from day care. I called layer and told the owner that he lost a cash deal. He then told me he had to bring his child to the hospital. He is just a liar

i had communicated twice looking to test drive vehicle before even talking finance options.... i was given the excuse i wasn;t able to come test drive as theres about 10 cars parked in front of it... if dealer was legit to sell this car with NO issues as they claim there wouldnt be excuses

The people at the dealership were friendly and no-nonsense. They only trade used cars and want to move them fast. They had the lowest price around for this model and the car was in good shape. I was able to do an inspection with a technically-inclined friend of mine and to test drive the vehicle.
The dealership generated all the required paperwork and provided necessary info for me to obtain my insurance. They handled all transactions with NJ and NY Dept of Motor Vehicles, for temp and permanent licenses plates and registration.
They provided a printout of all Carfax servicing info for the vehicle.

Can they get you financed; YES! after they rip you off and you PAY for the financing which is why they say they for sure can get you financed IF you have a big enough down payment...which essentially ALL goes in their pocket minus the taxes. (see numbers below)
Here's a list of "fees" on an $18,000 car I was looking at.
$1,700 bank fee (paying to finance the loan)
$499 Plates/Title
Dealer fee $899 (whatever they claim they repaired on the vehicle)
Service charge $899 (saying they had to transport the vehicle)
Temp Plates $275 (idk why because they're already charging a $499 "plates" fee)
Taxes 7.25% / or $1,500 (which I understand HAS to be paid)
Total amount of FEES: $5,772
Total with vehicle + fees = $23,772
Total financed after MANDATORY down payment of $3,000 - $5,000 = $20,772 / $18,772
Other dealership I went to had a $180 document processing fee, and then taxes. THATS IT! Take your money elsewhere unless this place cuts the BS with the fees.

The thing that I dont like about all of the Carfax listings I am sent is that I have to wade through mostly cars I have no interest in. I'm looking for a used compact pickup truck with an extended cab like a Nissan King Cab. I have no interest in a 4 door pickup and that is usually what 90% of the listings I get are for and a lot of the time you cant tell from the initial picture and have to open it up. Also many times when you email an interest in a car you get no reply back even when the car remains listed.
