This customer had called about a vehicle. When she called, the vehicle was available. It took her a few hours to get to the dealership to check out the vehicle. By the time she got to the dealership, we had taken a deposit for the same vehicle. Our policy is that once we have a deposit, we hold the vehicle and do not let anyone even test drive it much less purchase it. She was understandably upset by this. We explained the situation to her. Unfortunately, we did not have any other vehicles in her price range. We tried to help in any way possible and even gave her some money (from me personally) to help her get home since she had taken a ride share service. We regret that she was upset by the situation. We pride ourselves on treating everyone equally no matter their gender, race, religion, or any other characteristic.
