Nice car but did not appreciate what seemed like a bad attitude when it came to providing the pictures I requested in order to decide if I would take the long drive to see the car. He couldnt be bothered with my request saying he has dealt with buyers before who ask for this type of request and arent serious about buying. Well I WAS serious but didnt want to deal with someone who couldnt be bothered to earn my business regardless of how nice the car looked to be. Thanks anyway for the single additional picture.

This is Andy Killian (owner) responding to your review. You sent two e-mails asking for pictures of the underside of the car. In order to get pictures of the bottom side it needs to be on a lift. Before I go to the trouble of taking the car to our service shop and jacking it up and taking pictures I at least require a phone call from the person requesting it. I left my number twice to call me to describe the car personally and i never got a call. When that happens I have to assume someone is not interested enough for me to proceed. The car you were requesting pictures of was a nice one owner garage kept car that was priced under 10k dollars and had 39k miles. I'm sorry you were not 100% satisfied but I would do the same thing again under the same conditions. Don't ever hesitate to call me or have someone call me on your behalf if you need answers about something. Thanks for looking at our cars and I hope we will get another one you will like.

Test drove the vehicle and no issues detected. Purchased the car and two days later had a transmission error message, along with subtle shifting issues. They were willing to refund me after being notified. Took it to the Ford dealership for confirmation and was told it would need a new transmission. Eventually got a refund and they exhibited good customer service (4 stars for this, but...). It should be noted that the error went away and the vehicle drove fine on return to Auto Sports, so the trans problem was sporadic. Very recently saw that Auto Sports sold the same vehicle at the Greensboro, NC, auction. The new dealership (purchased from auction) in Garner, NC, says they did not know about the trans issue. Either it wasn't disclosed at auction or the new dealership is taking a gamble the new customer won't catch the issue. There is an integrity issue somewhere in this mix. Now I'm left to wonder if Auto Sports knew about this issue beforehand. Did they take a gamble selling to me because the error didn't show and it seemed to drive fine? Did they not deposit my cash because they were worried I would be coming right back for refund? OR were they duped when they received the vehicle as a trade? This being their errand car and all, I'm inclined to believe I'm not that unlucky. The purchase price was a lot better than everyone else by far, so I should have been suspicious from the get go. I still believe there are good people in the world and a man's handshake still means something in my book. Am I naïve? You be the judge.

First off thanks for giving us a chance to sell you a car. The car you bought we drove it hundreds of miles with no problems and like we told you we used it a while for a company car. We sold this car to a local lady years ago and she traded it to us on a 2018 Explorer because her family was getting bigger. According to how behind we are at our detail shop we will use a car for a while. Remember we need transportation too. We don't usually use a newer car because the market on those can change in a hurry so we will typically pick a cheaper older car to drive. In your case and many others to make you feel at ease we will give someone a 1 week buy back guarantee which is very fair. When we do that we do not process the paperwork at the DMV nor do we deposit someones money till that week is up. That makes it much easier we can just shred the paperwork. Since you lived close to Greensboro we thought it would be a good time to drop it off and sell the car at the auction. At the auction when you sell a car with over 100K miles they mark it As-Is. What that means is buyer beware and bid accordingly, most dealers including us are seasoned enough to know that there is probably something wrong. That's why when you go to a auction you put your big boy pants on and you take it as it comes. If you don't like to gamble you probably shouldn't bid. We lost money on it and they bought it cheap enough to fix things. Cars are like people, any day can be it's last one. You were a very nice fellow to work with and we hope you felt the same about us. We do the best we can to make people happy. Thanks again.

I sent in a request to see if the truck was still available. Andrew sent me an email right away to see if I would like to test drive it. I decided that day that I would make the purchase. I had a few concerns about the truck. The brakes seemed to need tweaking? When I mentioned them to the owner, Andy he became extremely defensive. I almost walked away at that point. Like why buy something from someone behaving so brash? I brushed his demeanor off and asked him "What do you need from me to complete the purchase" Long story short. Since I was making a cash purchase, no warranty. I needed to know that I wasn't buying something of the citrus fruit nature. Good news! After taking my truck to the Nissan dealership to get it a once over the truck was in good condition. However the trucks brakes had a soft brake, which meant it had air or moisture in the brake line. Moral of this story is although I am a woman, I know when something is wrong with the braking system. I hold no grudge with the owner, I feel like he was just trying to prove that his vehicles were well maintained. In this case the customer was right. Nissan charged me $1300 dollars to fix a few problems. However overall I got a pretty good deal. The 3 stars are basically because of the customer service I received from the owner of the dealership. Still leaves me sad. I purchased this car from a loan against my 401k. I just wish I would have had a better shopping experience.

First of all Thanks Kimberly for buying a car from us. We do try to give good and fast service. I thought you were a very nice lady and I really enjoyed talking to you. I didn't realize I was being defensive about the car but if I was I'm sorry. I will have to say I'm someone that doesn't beat around the bush, and some people appreciate that. You told me you thought the truck needed brakes and I produced the paperwork that proved I had just put brakes on it. I also told you to make sure you liked the way it was because I could not take any less for the truck. I also tell everyone they have 3- 5 days to bring the vehicle back if they are totally dissatisfied with their purchase for a full refund. We hope you are doing well and will come back again.
