CENTREVILLE, Va. (July 25, 2012) – Carfax is giving California car dealers access to NMVTIS checks. As of July 1, dealers in California must run a NMVTIS check when retailing any used car. As an approved reseller of NMVTIS checks, Carfax is helping California dealers get the information required by state law.
“Dealers in California now have a quick and affordable way to get the NMVTIS checks they need,” said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax. “In addition, Carfax Advantage Dealers throughout the state can get NMVTIS checks for no additional cost as part of the Carfax Online Monitoring Service.”
Any dealer in California selling used cars can run the NMVTIS checks they need through Carfax. Subscribing dealers can purchase NMVTIS checks at www.carfaxonline.com or with one click directly from Carfax Vehicle History Reports they’ve already run. Dealers in California without a Carfax account can go to www.carfaxonline.com/nmvtis or call 888-788-7715 to get access to NMVTIS checks for their inventory.
