2016 Recall News

March 28, 2016 – General Motors recalled approximately 824,000 vehicles in the U.S., including certain Pontiac models, due to potential ignition switch issues.

Models affected:

  • 2008-2010 Pontiac Solstice
  • 2008-2010 Pontiac G5

Pontiacs Affected by the on Takata Airbag Recall

Pontiac has open recalls on its 2003-2005 Vibe model cars as part of the Takata Airbag recall. This recall was expanded as of May 2015 with the announcement that approximately 34 million cars on US roads are equipped with defective airbags manufactured by Takata.
