Electric Cars With the Longest Range in 2025

We’ve ranked electric vehicles from longest range to shortest. Every vehicle featured has more than 300 miles of range.

How We Rank Vehicles

1. 2025 Lucid Air • 516 mi

  • Price: $71,400
  • Pros: Performance and power, shiny new brand
  • Cons: Uncertainty around the new brand

The Lucid features a posh, modern interior with some conventional controls and various digital screens that emulate traditional controls. The Air is offered in four trims, with various ranges and outputs. The entry-level model is the Pure, which comes with a single 480-horsepower electric motor. The range-topping Dream Edition offers a Performance trim with 1,111 horsepower and the Sapphire trim with 1,234 hp. There’s also a Range version of the Dream Edition, which sacrifices output for distance, but it still makes 933 horsepower.

2. 2025 Tesla Model S • 402 mi

  • Price: $74,990
  • Pros: Performance and power, cool tech
  • Cons: Not as luxurious as rivals

The Model S comes standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD), has more cargo space than many SUVs, and is packed with cutting-edge technology. However, like the Model 3, it doesn’t have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. The Model S justifies its $75K price with technology and performance that push the envelope for the automobile. Even Tesla’s build-quality issues appear to have been addressed.

3. 2025 Tesla Model 3 • 358 mi

  • Price: $42,490
  • Pros: Sedan practicality with supercar speed, modern interior, good price
  • Cons: Handling doesn’t match acceleration

The Model 3 is one of the best-selling EVs for good reason. It delivers lively acceleration, lots of cargo space, and a modern, roomy interior. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, though dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) is available. Though the base model is no slouch, choosing the dual-motor AWD model makes the Model 3 sports car fast and gives it an impressive 341-mile range. While it offers a large 15.4-inch touchscreen, it doesn’t offer wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto integration.

4. 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQS • 350 mi

  • Price: $104,400
  • Pros: Bright and modern interior, loaded with tech, amazing acceleration, comfortable
  • Cons: The price, less rear-seat headroom than the S-Class

The EQS Sedan offers a spacious, upscale interior. Unfortunately, the sloping roofline cuts in on the rear-seat headroom. But the EQS wows with its full glass dash, aka the Hyperscreen. The base model is the EQS 450+ sedan, which comes standard with a single electric motor at the rear wheels that makes 355 horsepower. This model has a range of 350 miles. The EQS 580 4Matic features a dual-motor setup making a combined 536 horsepower, with a driving range of 340 miles.

5. 2025 Tesla Model X • 329 mi

  • Price: $79,990
  • Pros: Unbelievable power, cool tech
  • Cons: High price

The Model X is one of only two electric SUVs – together with the Model Y – with an optional third row. It accelerates faster than any production SUV and rides and handles much like a smaller car. The Model X has an upscale, roomy interior with lots of cargo space. It has dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) and advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS). However, it doesn’t support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. The Model X relies on Tesla’s internet-based infotainment features.

6. 2025 BMW iX • 324 mi

  • Price: $87,250
  • Pros: Lively acceleration, smooth handling, deluxe cabin, many standard tech features
  • Cons: No front trunk, costs more than some rivals

The BMW iX is a luxury, midsize electric SUV equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) and dual electric motors. The base xDrive50 produces 516 horsepower, while the M60 makes 610 horsepower. BMW’s iX can travel up to 309 miles on a fully charged battery. Both iX’s powertrains provide energetic acceleration. Its smooth handling makes this EV enjoyable for road trips and commuting. The iX comes standard with a 14.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless device charging, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The iX is expensive, costing more than many rivals, and it doesn’t have a front trunk for extra cargo room.

7. 2024 Rivian R1S • 321 mi

2023 Rivian R1S

  • Price: $78,000
  • Pros: Acceleration, off-road capability, unique design, unique storage
  • Cons: Can be expensive

The 3-row Rivian R1S and the R1T pickup truck have a similar design inside and out, including the brisk acceleration from the available Quad Motor trim. Off-road performance is impressive, with Rivian developing the R1S to compete with the Range Rover when the going gets rough. The interior of the R1S is luxurious. Two huge screens serve as the infotainment and driver information centers, and the boxy shape and engine-less front trunk provide ample storage. The R1S also has a couple of drawbacks: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto aren’t available, and this SUV is one of the most expensive picks in its class.

8. 2025 BMW i7 • 321 mi

  • Price: $105,700
  • Pros: Choice of engaging models, neck-snapping acceleration, pleasing ride and handling, plush, roomy, and quiet cabin
  • Cons: Expensive, polarizing exterior styling, busy-looking dashboard, limited cargo space

The BMW i7 is for buyers who want to drive a large and posh passenger car, but who want to leave a smaller carbon footprint than the typical large luxury car. Part of a recent wave of impressive EVs from BMW, the BMW i7 brings the styling and accommodations of the latest 7 Series flagship to a full-electric, zero-emissions alternative – with a few aggressive styling tweaks. Operating range runs from 274-321 miles, depending on the powertrain and wheels chosen. The interior is opulent, quiet, and comfortable, full of digital displays and a bevy of high-tech comfort, connectivity, and safety systems.

9. 2025 Polestar 2 • 320 mi

  • Price: $64,800
  • Pros: Lively acceleration, good price
  • Cons: Ungainly proportions cut into cargo space

The Polestar 2, one of the most affordable all-electric luxury cars on the market, comes in three trims. The base model is the Long Range RWD, which has 295 horsepower and 320 miles of range. The Polestar 2’s cabin features modern design elements and deluxe accommodations. Its Scandinavian aesthetic feels clean, and the materials are top-notch. There’s also comfortable, adult-friendly seating in both rows. There are a couple of weaknesses to consider. The Polestar 2’s ride quality suffers with the available Performance Pack; it improves handling but brings a stiff ride. Also, the cabin has minimal storage space for smaller personal items.

27. 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV • 314 mi

  • Base Price: $96,550
  • Pros: Swift acceleration, smooth ride, outstanding off-roader
  • Cons: Steep price, so-so interior quality

The Hummer EV is for drivers seeking a big electric vehicle that’s both quick and off-road capable. The SUV comes standard with a 625-horsepower setup, with a range of up to 315 miles on a full charge. The Hummer EV has a lot of horsepower, so its lively acceleration isn’t surprising. And it’s rugged enough to thrive off-road. GMC’s EV misses the mark in some areas: It’s one of the most expensive options in its class, yet its cabin is underwhelming.
