The Alfa Romeo 4C is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and weighing less than 2,500 pounds. The 4C marks Alfa Romeo's return to the U.S. market after a 20-year hiatus. This model is available in spider (convertible) and coupe body styles.

Alfa Romeo's return to the United States is embodied in a tiny 4C sports car. The only powertrain choice is a 1750cc (1.8-liter) turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and comes paired with a six-speed twin-clutch transmission. The combination of the 4C's lightweight body and potent engine takes this model from 0-to-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and with a top speed of 160 mph.
The Alfa Romeo 4C represents the best of Italian car design. Its exterior was designed by Lorenzo Ramaciotti, a former Pininfarina designer pulled out of retirement to become Group Chief of Design at Fiat Group Automobiles.
From the front, the 4C is marked by the brand's shield-shaped grille, which provides the latest interpretation of a time-honored design. Creased character lines push out from both sides of the grille and cross the 4C's hood ending at the front pillars. Twin lower grille openings and tear-shaped headlamp assemblies are also present.
Strong, flowing lines that are marked by pronounced body sculpting distinguish the 4C's profile, which is amplified by air intakes. From stem to stern, the 4C offers a flowing form with its beltline curving up at the rear pillars to meet the sloping roofline. Every model is outfitted with distinctive alloy wheels set within Pirelli P-Zero summer tires.
The strong and flowing profile lines push back to the pronounced rear haunch, itself marked by a liftgate spoiler. Twin oval lights hearken to a traditional style found in older Alfa Romeos. A rear diffuser punctuates the sports car's backside with a pair of exhaust tips present.
Inside, the 4C's cockpit is entirely racing inspired with exposed carbon fiber monocoque. It represents a simple design with only the necessary driver controls present. Composite-framed seats are form fitting, dressed in leather and include microfiber inlays. A flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum pedals and paddle shifters are present. Use the left paddle to activate launch control and as soon as you release the brakes the system takes control of the transmission, maintains traction and maximizes acceleration.
The instrument cluster features a unique thin-film transistor (TFT) screen that replaces the traditional analog gauge cluster. It is composed of amplified graphics to showcase all key driver information in a limited area.
The center stack controls are oriented toward the driver and include a tiny color display, along with audio and climate control buttons. At the base of the stack between the seats is a unique multi-button transmission pattern along with a drive mode selector and an open tray.
Whether choosing a coupe or convertible, the Alfa Romeo is a single trim level model. The only upgrades are package such as convenience group, exterior color, coupe track package and a leather package.
