Bought 2 X5's from here over the yearshave been coming for service for a long time. Felt something was different when I arrived- didn't recognize any of the service people and the didn't ask who my advisor was like they used to. I think they just randomly assign someone now. Advisor was great but I didn't realize things have changed anyway, came for the oil change and ended up with a $7000 quote for service. Severe transmission and oil leak, etc. My husband and I didn't get any of that work done because if there was any kind of leak, number one, the vehicle would tell us there was an issue in number two. We will see oil in the driveway or wherever we park the car for extended periods of time. And we would know the transmission was leaking as well because we have to replace the fluid. They even tried to charge for DEF fluid, which is the vehicle needed it would tell us that as well. I truly feel like they were trying to rip us off and just get money out of us or get us to trade our truck in because it's a diesel. Talked to another BMW mechanic elsewhere and they said that work wasn't necessary for all the same reasons. I understand the dealership was sold- it seems less warm and personal. The staff was great though, but I can tell the difference. I don't think we'll be coming back there for service. To show up for an oil change with a vehicle that has had zero issues and be told it needs $7000 worth of work including four new tires is ridiculous. The tires are just fine. We picked the car up and left the next day and drove six hours up here to Delaware. We haven't slipped or slid or had any issues with the vehicle at all yet we were told there were major problems. Dishonest and money grabbing behavior is not going to get us to sell our vehicle or cough up a ridiculous amount of cash. Someone told us a while back to go to the BMW dealership in Durham instead of the one on Capital and we didn't listen but now any actual work that needs to be done will be done elsewhere. We will come there only for the oil change package.

I had to wait over a month to get brake service. The hazard light at end came on and told me to drive moderately. I had relatives visiting and not something that I wanted to worry about. This service was performed on the 31st of Jan. Today I just got a warning that my front brakes need attention. 8 days later. I have also now been told that it will be almost another month to have the front brakes done. I am a widow with this car being my only car. I feel unsafe driving the car as I have never had this kind of service problem with the many BMW s in past. .. Jared is great but your service has declined and questions now my choice of cars.
